This video stood how to me a lot and it did make me think, what am I doing at blinn? But listening to this guy made me think a lot about what I am going to do with my future and how I am going to figure it out. But the biggest thing that stood out to me was when he said that when he had problem with the toilet and it blew up in his face and then his dad and his grandpa came and dug it all out and he said I want to be like them and he said he saw his first actual problem then. But what he said back was very interesting. He said “It doesn’t matter what you do, you think you want to do what I want to do, what you want to do is work in the way I am working”. It stood out because it doesn’t matter what you do but you will do it hard. But he didn’t like that way he liked the way of being a freelancer. Also when he fixed the toilet it reminded me when he said shovel-ready jobs at the end of the video because that is a shovel job and that is real hard work and you have to put your all into that. Also another quote he said was “Figure out a way to do it and figure out a way to love it”. That stood out because in reality you need to find a job you like and you have to love it if you want to have a good and fun career. He also talks about how much debt we are in and the trillion dollars in debt in schools we are in. Also he said we can’t figure out who is a good worker or not because we fall in love with one size fits all in education. And he said that a lot of people that graduated could be sitting on their couch at home because they are not qualified for jobs. And he was saying that many guys graduate at lower rates then women, go to college at lower rates and he said more women can reveal themselves more and the numbers are way different. And he was talking about physical labor jobs with people fixing roads and that ATM’s were taking jobs and other job opportunities with other situations and all the job opportunities available.

I believe that you should be able to look at your phone during a movie. But there’s some things to it you have to be sitting in the back and you would have to turn your phone brightness on your screen all the way down. Also you would have to turn your phone on silent. Where that girl went wrong was she was sitting in front of you guys with her phone up in the air and her brightness high. They also have a message at the beginning of every movie that says you need to put your phones on silent and not bright, but never does it say you cannot use your phone. I believe these days kids and way more people are addicted to using their phones or some type of device. A verse that brooks said that came out to me was when he said “phone addiction is making it harder to be the sort of person who is good at deep friendship”. It came out to me because its true. The more you are addicted to your phone is the more time that you don’t go out and enjoy what is actually really important. You will meet less people and you will be less social and wont talk to that many people, you will be worried about what is on your twitter, Instagram, face book. Also I believe that the girl that was on Instagram looking at her boyfriend could of avoided it so many ways by sitting in the back row or she could of moved away where less people were sitting so it did not bother anyone else. But I also agree with you guys choice by telling her to put the phone away or you were going to get the manager because she thought twice about that and just left. The other people that was around thanked you guys for saying something to her because they probably didn’t have the nerves to say anything. I’m kind of on both sides but it just depends where you are sitting in the movie theatre and if there is people beside or around you guys. I think it is funny that she paid to watch that movie and she didn’t even watch it because she was to busy on her phone and not even paying attention. She defiantly wasted her money on that movie. 

Blog #4

This summer I went to two cool places which was Denver and Colorado Springs in Colorado and Destin, Florida. What I had did in Denver is I went to the Denver Football stadium and visited all the locker rooms and on the field the year after they had won the super bowl. That was really cool I got to see some of the statues around the stadium and all the cool features and the mountain views around there. Also I ate a very good pizza place there it was called Racca’s Pizzeria Napoletana. I had the best bacon and sausage cheese pizza. Another place I went to in Colorado was pikes peak. It is located in Colorado Springs it was the coolest view you could ever see it was crazy. There was so many things you could do. We stayed at a rental house down there. They also had these zip lines that went across one mountain to another and that was probably the coolest thing I have ever doing but my heart dropped when I had looked down. It was like a movie. The next place I went to was Destin what I had did in Destin was go to the beach every day and I had went there with ten people from my graduation class and we had a good time. And also the time we were there someone had performed on the beach and it was some local person I don’t really remember his name he wasn’t that good but there was at least over 1 thousand people there. Also the second night we went to some roller coaster park and they had some roller coasters right by the beach right there it was pretty cool and a lot of different lights going on. And then the third night and fourth night I had just hung out on the beach and our house we had rented and had a good time those last two nights. Then when I had got back to Dallas I had two weeks before coming here to Bryan. Those last two weeks I hung out with some family and my closest friends and enjoyed those times before I had to come back to school and work hard and finally be on my own. The last week was the hardest because I was leaving everyone to pursue my career.

                Words can get you far in life, but also words can hurt you. Words have failed me sometimes when I get angry at my parents or siblings and it could be something I said out of anger but really didn’t mean to them. Or when you get mad at your friends or your girlfriend. You could say something that could cost you friendships and relationships or anything else important to you. One time it failed me is when I was talking to a girl and I said the wrong thing and she blew me off and wasn’t interested. One time words made me proud was when my high school coach told me we weren’t running that day after we had worked out. Also another time words made me happy is going to college and being happy about going. A time where I have used words to benefit someone else was when my teammates were struggling in the weight room or on the field and I used words of encouragement to help them get through it and do they best thing they can do. Words that have inspired me is Muhammed Ali when he said “Don’t quit suffer now and live the rest of your life like a champion”. That always put a good motivation in my head because it makes me never want to quit. It always makes me do my best at whatever I want to do. Its even my background on my phone. Artists that had blew my mind about the words they have said is Kanye west. He said no matter how much money you have or how wealthy you are you are blessed being alive. Also another person that said something that means so deep is Leonardo DiCaprio. He said something about how global warming is effecting the world but no one is paying attention to it. He also said its happening right now and it is the most urgent threat that is effecting our species and that we need to work together and stop procrastinating and do something about it. I believe that he was sending a message to us that no one is paying attention to and listening what we need to do before its too late. Words have many different meanings and there is not just one meaning of something there is multiple meaning that a word can have to something.    

Introduction

                My name is Trace Wilson. I’m from a town in Dallas called Plano. I went to Hebron High School with a graduated class in 2016 with over 1000 students. I played football for my school and I was one of teams top receivers. Last season I scored 11 touchdowns with 1,037 yards on the year. I loved playing football and even even watching it. My favorite thing to do is either watch football or basketball or even sometimes still play it in my free time. I have a pretty good size family there is 5 of us. I have one sister that is 17 years old and a brother that is 22 years old and attends The University of Florida. The reason I am attending Blinn is because I want to start my 2 years off here and then go off to Same Houston State to continue the rest of my degree in forensic science. I am a pretty laid back person and I am always wanting to do something productive. Another thing that I like to do is workout. Working out always relieves stress and makes you more relaxed in situations. An interesting fact about me is I got hit by a car in 7^th grade and I had tore my acl and my mcl and had to be in a long leg thing for almost a year. Also another cool thing I like to do is gamble. The first time I went gambling I played $20 on a slot machine and I won 750 and I was so shocked and ever since then I have been gambling with sports and at the casinos. Its just a thing I enjoy doing whether I lose or not. Ive always been down almost $500 but that are the risks for gambling. And the last thing about me is I go to every single Dallas Cowboys home games in Arlington. I haven’t missed a home game in 3 years.
